Sauman on the process of mentoring –
“Mentorship is a relationship in which a more experienced or more knowledgeable person helps to guide a less experienced or less knowledgeable person. The mentor may be older or younger than the person being mentored, but he or she must have a certain area of expertise.
It is a learning and development partnership between someone with vast experience and someone who wants to learn.
Mentorship experience and relationship structure affect the “amount of psychosocial support, career guidance, role modeling, and communication that occurs in the mentoring relationships in which the protégés and mentors engaged.”
“Mentoring” is a process that always involves communication and is relationship-based, but its precise definition is elusive, with more than 50 definitions currently in use”

So Mentoring is a Dynamic skill that needs to be honed on an ongoing basis.
In all my previous assignments I have played the role of a Corporate Mentor in various roles.
Handholding a machinist in the shop floor, tuning an engine with the foreman or developing a team design roll out.
In INSIST the approach is to be independent in assessment of support. To predict the product and perceive the impact.
Individuals, institutions and initiatives, each has inspirational demands and dreams.
The approach to partner in the mentorship journey in each is different in each case.
Though the similarity of challenges are striking.
Take for example the challenges faced Anshul (NGA) and his Aireye to date. Being way ahead of times as an innovator means there is no one to support you.
Personally for me it is to keep on going. To identify individuals with ideas and ability to deliver dreams.
Keeping up the support when the going gets tough. To ensure you are always there when a mentee needs you.”
